Key Account Manager (Commercial)

Job omschrijving

Purpose of the role is to contribute to the sales plan by realizing the budget with regard to volumes, prices and margins for your region and dedicated customers usually for a yearly contract within guidelines agreed with the commercial manager.
•You produce a monthly performance report of your customer portfolio and you agree on targets and metrics for all aspects of the role;
•You manage the full customer interface with the customer service team including monthly forecasts on volumes and margins, complaint handling, cash management and debtors;
•You contribute to business development by acquiring new customers;
•You produce regular customer visit reports following all customer contact to ensure information is shared across the whole commercial organization.;
•You participate in Sales and Business meetings and work closely with marketing with a view to monitor and develop our commercial strategy.


•You hold a business related master with at least a few years commercial experience including market analysis and experience in development of marketing tools in such areas as customer service, procurement, logistics and sales;
•Preferably a good understanding of chemical assets and links to P&L performance;
•Good knowledge of financial assessment of business opportunities;
•Strong interpersonal skills and drive to deliver performance and a willingness to help and support within a broader team environment;
•Fluent in English, Dutch with other languages as an additional advantage;
•Prepared to travel up to 30% of the time.
